the old railway line is used as an access route to local allotments – this has to be considered in choosing materials for the surface as they must be able to withstand the weight of occasional vehicles. it is also a good example of the diversity of use of the line, from alternative commuter route into scarborough to possible source of free wild food from blackberry bushes, wild garlic and the like. on site poetry workshop 21.08.09
